What is Excel V+?

The Excel V+ laser can treat various vascular and benign pigmented conditions on all skin tones. Many skin conditions manifest in the form of broken or abnormal blood vessels in the skin, as is the case with rosacea, in which the facial blood vessels dilate excessively, causing redness and flushing.

Coolsculpting Treatment

How it Works

ExcelV+ treats vascular conditions by administering a unique high-power green laser that is absorbed by abnormal vessels causing the vein walls to collapse and seal shut. Over time, the vessels will no longer be visible. Several treatments may be necessary to achieve the desired result.

Recovery

Patients commonly notice slight reddening and swelling of the skin, some patients experience bruising and in rare instances, blistering may occur.

Frequently Asked Questions

What specific conditions does ExcelV+ treat?

Excel V+ has been shown to treat several conditions, including rosacea, spider veins, leg veins, port wine stains, cherry angiomas, and benign pigmented lesions such as sunspots. Excel V+ treats mild and severe forms of these conditions. The system may also have a cosmetic benefit for patients who have skin lesions or scars from past injuries or surgeries.

How many treatments are needed?

The number of treatments depends on various parameters, including the vascular lesion’s size, thickness, and color. Superficial vascular lesions are usually the easiest to treat: some patients might see significant improvement after just one treatment.

Do the treatments Hurt?

Most patients experience a stinging sensation as the pulses of energy are delivered through the handpiece. Although no local anesthesia or pain medication is typically required, some patients use a topical anesthetic before treatment. Following the treatment, the pain is minimal to nonexistent.

When will I see THE results?

Most patients find that most of the treated veins have shown significant improvement within two to six weeks of treatment. However, your final results may not be apparent for several months.
