Dr. Alyssa “Lys” Ortega, MD
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Alyssa Ortega as an ASDS Fellow at Laser & Skin Surgery Center of Northern California. Dr. Ortega is a dermatologist passionate about delivering inclusive, high-quality care that blends medical excellence with artistic precision. She earned her medical degree from UC Irvine and completed her dermatology residency at UC Davis, where she cultivated a strong interest in procedural dermatology and skin of color.
At Laser & Skin, Dr. Ortega will focus on advanced laser procedures, injectables, scar revision, and aesthetic treatments tailored to diverse skin types. Her fellowship also includes active participation in clinical trials and research initiatives that advance laser medicine and aesthetic dermatology.
A fluent Spanish speaker and certified yoga instructor, Dr. Ortega is a new mom and co-owner of a local Sacramento café. She brings a holistic, patient-centered perspective to the world of dermatology, and we’re thrilled to have her as part of our team.
