A Letter to our Patients Regarding our Participation in Health Insurance Plans

by | May 16, 2019

To Our Valued Patients,

During the past 25 years you have trusted us to take care of your medical needs and we appreciate your loyalty and value the relationships we have nurtured along the way.

After many hours of consideration, the decision has been made to no longer participate in any insurance plans. We can continue to care for your medical needs, but it will have to be without the involvement of your third-party payor. The mechanics of accepting insurance have become very complicated.

The art of medicine remains our first love. Helping you achieve the best possible level of health to enable you to live your life and enjoy it to the fullest extent has been our passion.

The business of medicine and dealing with the barriers imposed by the insurance companies has diminished the joy of practicing our profession.

Effective August 1, 2019 we will no longer be contracted with any insurance plans, however we will still be seeing medical patients. Any medical exam and treatment fees will be due the day of service. If you choose, you may submit your receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement consideration.

We truly treasure the time we spend taking care of you and hope to continue to do so.

Sincerely,

Suzanne L. Kilmer, M.D.
